There’s a fascinating documentary uploaded by New York’s Metro Transit authority on the signalling technology still currently in use in some section of the subway system. Seeing the equipment and the control tower immediately brought back memories of Joseph Sargent’s classic film The Taking of Pelham One Two Three. I’m amazed that some of the technology that was installed when the subway system was first constructed are still in use. Must be a nightmare to find qualified people to service and maintain that gear.
